Though drawing and painting was my passion, received ROLIFLEX, my first camera at the age of 10 and that changed everything!!! The photography experiments started right from the day one.

Right from the school days, I learnt technic of photo printing from my father, the renowned cinematographer who also setup a small makeshift film development studio in bathroom at home for me. I did the “darkroom thing” with enlarger on tripod, the smelly chemicals, the dim red lights, papers and films with old-school dodging, burning technics.

During architectural education at MSU of Baroda, Photo-shoots on field trips and projects were fun documenting.

Established Architectural studio in 1979 in Mumbai with more opportunities to put my Nikon at work!!! Site visits around India and conferences abroad offered ample of scope to dive deep into photography.

My experiments with colours in interiors were to play pivotal role. In “Digital Darkroom” with images, AI apps & programs, started focusing on the artistic side of editing, touching-up the original image and turn into a work of art that looked more vibrant, interesting and meaningful like a painting, even more brilliant and spectacular than the original photograph.

I see with my heart and soul to this new approach to Fine Art.

Encouraged by family & friends, the idea of “Artophy” emerged, offering affordable art to all. Part of the proceeds are donated towards Charities.
